(October 27) – "What Happens in Vegas, stays in Las Vegas. ", Right? No, if you are a politician running for the highest office in the State. That's what Rep. Jim Gibbons, who is campaigning for governor of Nevada, has learned. For Gibbons, Friday 13 proved an unlucky day. That was the day that Gibbons and his campaign adviser stopped by McCormick and Schmick restaurant out of the rain and down a drink or two. Somehow the two of them ended up in a table with a pair of women who later joined two other women, Chrissy Mazzeo and her friend Penny Puhek. Mazzeo said she called police in Las Vegas later that night and said that Gibbons forced her against the wall of a parking garage and threatened her after he had made unwanted advances on the drinks before the bar restaurant. The two also disagree about the amount of each embedded in the night in question. Both have stated that each had only a couple glasses of wine, etc, etc, …
Although I'm not in Tennessee, the Senate race has become very ugly by a Republican candidate who has stopped talking about the issues and has started the barrage of personal attacks against the Democratic candidate. But obviously it works as it is now ahead in the polls. Another sad example of how people will say anything to get elected.
